Beginner Metalsmith 102 (Tues.)

Service Description

In this exciting 4-week class students will expand their soldering skills, learn bezel setting, piercing and more fabrication techniques while creating up to three projects including a pendant, a ring with a gemstone and a pair of earrings. Add soldering elements, intricate bails, and fine tune finishing techniques while you delve deeper into your design process. Students should have soldering and metalwork experience and/or taken our Beginner series or the equivalent. Most will complete all of the projects or may book open studio time to finish. Kit Fee: $115 due to instructor at start of class. Kit includes: Sterling silver sheet, wire, saw blades, stones, wire, solder and consumables, instructions and use of all tools. *Kit fees may fluctuate with metals market. **Please read out cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

A 3.2% convenience fee is added to all online transactions. To avoid this fee you can pay by check or cash. Email us at charmtree@verizon.net or call us at 443-249-3338 for more info. CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 9 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the class/workshop up to 3 business days before the class/workshop. Students will be refunded the amount of their tuition, or if you prefer, CJS will hold the tuition as credit for a period of six months from the date of cancellation. Students will be notified of cancellations by phone or email. • Students missing or dropping a class/workshop will not receive a refund, credits or make-up dates unless specified by the instructor. • A fee of $30 will be charged for each returned check.
