Beginner Silver Clay 101 (P.M.)

Service Description

This slow-paced, weekly class will take you on an incredible journey into precious metal clay. Instead of a fast-tracked introduction, we will take our time with each technique so that you can practice and hone your skills in both the wet and greenware state of the clay. This includes, rolling, 2-sided texturing, stone setting in wet and dry clay, bails, refining, mold making and more. Students will make a variety of pieces. You will also learn torch vs. kiln firing and finishing your work post firing, polishing and patina. This class will teach you the fundamentals and really get you ready for more intermediate projects and guest instructors. One free 3-hour open studio session for each student allows for extra time to work on finishing skills. Kit Fee: $148 Kit Includes: 30 grams of Art Clay Silver and 15 grams Projext X clay, textures from Rolling Mill resources, a variety of gemstones and crystals, fine silver embeddables, instructions, tools and all consumables.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
