Intermediate Metalsmith 101 (A.M.)

Service Description

In this 5-week class, designed to piggyback on the Beginner series, student will up the ante in their metalwork designs. Students will expand upon their soldering skills to design a 2-stone pendant with prongs and a wire cuff with endcaps and a gemstone. If time allows you will learn pick soldering to create a chain. This is a fantastic class that will push your design skills and give you the confidence you need to develop your own unique style. Prerequisite: Beginner series or similar. You may take if you have previous soldering experience upon instructor approval by calling 443-249-3338. Skill Level: Intermediate Kit Fee: $145 (due to instructor at start of class) Kit Includes: All sterling silver sheet metal and wire, gemstones, saw blades, solder and consumables as well as use of all tools. *kit fees may fluctuate with cost of precious metals. **Please read out cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 9 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the class/workshop up to 3 business days before the class/workshop. Students will be refunded the amount of their tuition, or if you prefer, CJS will hold the tuition as credit for a period of six months from the date of cancellation. Students will be notified of cancellations by phone or email. • Students missing or dropping a class/workshop will not receive a refund, credits or make-up dates unless specified by the instructor. • A fee of $30 will be charged for each returned check.
