Want to learn precious metal clay but don't want the stress of getting certified? In this fast paced pre-requisite class you will get a crash course in all things metal clay including, texturing, coiling, bail techniques, embellishing, molds, embeddable findings and stone setting, to name a few. Learn firing techniques from torch to kiln and proper finishing in the greenware and metal state. You will work with the clay to create up to four pieces of jewelry. Get your hands in the clay and get yourself ready for more intermediate classes in this prerequisite class! There are a limited number of seats to allow for a more student-focused learning experience. Class will break each day for 30-min lunch . Most students will finish during the class. Skill Level: Beginner Kit Fee: $85 due to instructor at start of class. Kit Includes: 10 grams ArtClay Silver and 15 grams of Project X flex clay, and liberal use of both clay slip/paste. The kit also includes fine silver wire and/or embeddable findings, gemstones, tools, instructions, handouts, and consumables. *Extra clay will be available for purchase. **If you would like to bring your own silver clay contact the studio at 443-249-3338.

Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
