Service Description

In this workshop, students will learn how to properly use a jeweler’s saw to cut out shapes from sheet metal to create unique flowers and petals. Learn sweat soldering techniques and how to add wire to sheet metal to create ear wires. You will also learn how to shape and form the flowers to give them dimension, how to mass produce silver balls to add to your designs, how to texture and stamp unique patterns in your metal and how to set tiny stones. This is an exciting workshop, whether you’ve never picked up a saw frame before or you’d like to take your techniques to the next level, Skill Level: Beginner Kit fee: TBD and due to instructor at start of workshop. (Kit will include copper and/or silver sheet and wire as well as sawblades, solder, patina, and consumables. A full materials list will be provided. **Kit fee costs are subject to change with rising cost of silver. ***If you plan to bring your own metal please email us 2 weeks before class to receive materials list.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 8 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the class/workshop up to 3 business days before the class/workshop. Students will be refunded the amount of their tuition, or if you prefer, CJS will hold the tuition as credit for a period of six months from the date of cancellation. Students will be notified of cancellations by phone or email. • Students missing or dropping a class/workshop will not receive a refund, credits or make-up dates unless specified by the instructor. However, you may come in during 1 open studio (reservation and approval required) to finish your piece. • A fee of $30 will be charged for each returned check. ***A 2.9% convenience fee will be added to all transactions that pay with a credit card.
