About the event

Looking for a new hobby or a fun night out? Join Melissa Kay-Steves at Charmtree Jewelry Studio to create textured hoop earrings. You'll learn to form, texture, solder, and finish mixed metal earrings using copper and brass. Experiment with designs using various hammers for unique textures. The kit fee is $12, including base metals and ear wires, with an option to upgrade to sterling silver. Bring a friend and enjoy an exciting introduction to metalsmithing with refreshments (BYOB). Space is limited.

Cancellation Policy

Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore we cannot issue a refund once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops, classes or events, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop, class or event of your choice, provided you have given us 7 days notice. If you do not show or cancel less then 7 days before the workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment.

In-Studio conduct

We are a controversy-free studio and do not discriminate.  We will not tolerate any political or religious discussions and will not allow any conversations that make people feel uncomfortable for their life choices and/or beliefs. This includes discussions/inquiries about Covid-19 vaccinations. We reserve the right to excuse any student or instructor who violates our policy.

studio & Kit fees

When registering via credit card or PayPal processing, there will be a 2.9% convenience fee added to your order if you are paying with a credit card. If you choose to pay by check or debit the fee will be waived. 

Most of our classes will also have an additional kit fee to be paid to the instructor before class. There will be a 6% MD state tax added to all kit fees. If you would like to bring your own materials to use you must first get pre-approval from the instructor. 

No outside tools may be brought into the studio unless pre-approved by Melissa. toolboxes for each student here at the studio.
