About the event

Our last Makers Night of the year is gonna be the BOMB! Spend an evening learning the basics of metalsmithing as you make a stack of rings AND get to sip a hot cocoa bomb.  We will walk you through the steps of forming, soldering and finishing three ring bands in copper, silver and brass. This is a great beginner class for those who have been curious about metalwork but want an easy and stress free introduction. To celebrate the season we have invited Beth Humphies, owner of  B Annies Hot Chocolate Bombs. She will demo her product and have a variety of delicious bombs for sale. All tools and kit will be provided and everyone will get one hot chocolate bomb and holiday mug. All jewelry will be on sale and we will have a fun raffle and giveaways! Snacks and non-alcohol beverages will be served. BYOB: think pepermint schnapps! (upgrade to all sterling silver additional $10) Don't miss this fun evening full of holiday cheer!

Cancellation Policy

Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore we cannot issue a refund once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops, classes or events, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop, class or event of your choice, provided you have given us 7 days notice. If you do not show or cancel less then 7 days before the workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment.

In-Studio conduct

We are a controversy-free studio and do not discriminate.  We will not tolerate any political or religious discussions and will not allow any conversations that make people feel uncomfortable for their life choices and/or beliefs. This includes discussions/inquiries about Covid-19 vaccinations. We reserve the right to excuse any student or instructor who violates our policy.

studio & Kit fees

When registering via credit card or PayPal processing, there will be a 2.9% convenience fee added to your order if you are paying with a credit card. If you choose to pay by check or debit the fee will be waived. 

Most of our classes will also have an additional kit fee to be paid to the instructor before class. There will be a 6% MD state tax added to all kit fees. If you would like to bring your own materials to use you must first get pre-approval from the instructor. 

No outside tools may be brought into the studio unless pre-approved by Melissa. toolboxes for each student here at the studio.
