Beginner Metalsmith 102 (Tuesdays)

Service Description

in this exciting 4-week class students will expand their soldering skills, learn bezel setting, piercing and more fabrication techniques while creating two projects including a pendant and a ring with a gemstone. Explore your creativity by fabricating additonal elements like rope and granulation and adding to your design. Learn how to ine tune finishing techniques with the flex shaft and polishing wheels. Students should have soldering and metalwork experience and/or taken our Beginner series or the equivalent. Most will complete all of the projects or may book open studio time to finish. If time a allows we will make a pair of earrings. Kit Fee: $125 due to instructor at start of class. Kit includes: Sterling silver sheet, fine and sterling silver wire, gemstones stones, solder, saw blades and consumables, instructions and use of all tools. *Kit fees may fluctuate with metals market. **Please read out cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
