Intro to Metalsmithing

Service Description

Have you always wanted to learn about metalwork but didn't know where to begin? This all-day class will teach you the basics of soldering, sawing, piercing, texturing and more. You will learn how to properly use an array of tools while fabricating two or three pieces of jewelry in copper and brass. (Upgrade to sterling silver available for $$). We will break for 1-hour lunch. *Due to various skill level, not everyone will finish their work. If time is needed you may book Bench Time with Melissa. Kit Fee: $25 includes all materials including copper and brass sheet metal and wire, sterling silver wire, saw blades, gemstones, and consumables. **Please see our cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
