Want to learn precious metal clay but not ready to commit to certification? This 2-day class will giveyou a crash course in all things metal clay including texturing, coiling, bail techniques, embellishing, molds, embeddable findings and stone setting, to name a few. Learn firing techniques from torch to kiln and proper finishing in the greenware and metal state AND the differences in firing both types of clays. Students will work with Project X silver clay and bronze or copper clay, to create a variety of pieces. Get your hands in the clay, familiarize yourself with the nuances of both base and fine silver clay, and get yourself ready for more intermediate classes and find out if certification is right for you! There are a limited number of seats to allow for a more student-focused learning experience. Class will break each day for 30-min lunch. *Due to varying skill levels some students may need to pick up projects at a later date. Skill Level: Beginner Kit Fee: $32 (clays not included) *Clay Needed: Students will be be given instructions on purchasing clay from Clay Revolution prior to class. Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
