Service Description

Have you always wanted to make professional looking jewelry but don't know where to start? Or do you need a refresher? This all-day class is designed for the beginner or those with previous experience at the bench. Learn how to fabricate a ring band, design a backplate and set a stone in silver while learning various jewelry-making techniques including sawing, soldering, piercing, drilling, stamping and texturing metal. This is a fast-tracked class geared to introduce the beginner to many jewelry tools and give them a push start on their metalsmithing journey. We will break for 1/2 hour lunch. *Due to varying skill levels students may not finish their piece during class but may book Bench Time or Open Studio (members only) to finish. Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner Kit Fee: $68 (due at start of class) includes sterling silver sheet, round and bezel wire, solder, saw blades, gemstone and consumables, instructions and use of all tools. *Kit fees may fluctuate with silver/metals market.

Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
