Service Description

This two-day workshop will teach you how to easily combine stone, ceramic, glass or shell to create your next wearable work of jewelry art using lapidary techniques that don’t require full-sized stone cutting equipment. With a good assortment of diamond attachments, a bowl of water and a flex shaft, it’s easy to stack stone on stone – or ceramic, or shell, or glass – and make unique, one-of–a-kind works of jewelry art. You will learn how to wet drill these types of hard materials and to create small bezels that can be layered onto other stones and then set into a larger bezel setting. We will make a ring or pendant and practice drilling and enlarging holes for wire, tubing and other types of metal connections using base metals and/or sterling silver as desired. We will break for 1/2 hour lunch each day. Skil Level: Must have soldering experience Kit Fee: $105 - Instructor at start of class Kit Includes: 4” 12 ga. SSSQ wire per kit, 2x2” 24 ga. Cancellation Policy

CANCELLATION POLICY: • Students are not considered registered for a class/workshop until CJS receives full payment of tuition. Space is limited to 10 bench seats and therefore NO REFUNDS will be given for any workshop, payment or deposit, once a bench seat is booked. We understand that life happens. In the event that you have to cancel your attendance at one of our workshops or classes, we will hold your workshop fee for six months, to be applied to another workshop or class of your choice. If you do not show for a workshop, class or event and do not reach out to us, you will forfeit your payment. • Refunds are only given in the case that CJS must cancel a class/workshop. In the event that a class does not meet the required number of students, CJS reserves the right to cancel the Convenience Fee: A 2.9% convenience fee is added to all online transactions.
